Session: Ethical Approaches to Unethical Behavior
With a different workplace scandal on the news every day, it's increasingly important that business owners and their employees understand how to deal with problems when they arise and are equipped to respond appropriately. Such issues and incidents can affect employee morale, customer relations, and ultimately, the bottom line. The session will focus on ways to handle issues in the workplace such as harassment, discrimination and more.
About Tyffany Howard
Tyffany Howard is a local attorney who practices criminal law, juvenile law and personal injury law. She previously worked as a deputy city attorney and city prosecutor for the City of Temple. She has also served as an assistant county attorney for the Bell County Attorney’s Office. Also, Ms. Howard was an assistant district attorney for the 112th Judicial District in west Texas and a hearing officer for the Texas Workforce Commission.
Ms. Howard has worn others hats as a poet, journalist, adjunct instructor, substitute teacher, and aspiring actress. She earned a law degree from the University of Houston Law Center in Houston, Texas (1997), a master of arts degree from the University of San Diego in San Diego California (International Relations, 1994), and a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California (Communication Arts and Sciences,1991). She is a 2007-08 graduate of Leadership Temple.
Ms. Howard is on the Board of the Temple Literacy Council and Leadership Temple. She is a member of the Temple Chapter, NAACP and the Bell County Texas Democratic Women. A native Texan, born in Austin, she lives in Belton with her husband and two dogs, Chief Justice and Cowboy.
